Basic Workshop on Leadership

The demands on managers have changed: While the focus used to be more on expertise, it is now increasingly on leadership skills. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations and diverse tools is the prerequisite for being able to utilize them in a flexible manner. Yet another important tool is the leader’s personal style, his or her way of dealing with themselves and others and how this behaviour is perceived by others. Exactly there is the focus in this training.

 

OBJECTIVES

This training aims at optimally supporting employees in their change of roles, and encouraging them in their leadership task.

 

PARTICIPANTS

Employees who will take up a leadership position or have already done so, and have to act as a supervisor.

  • The most important management methods, leadership styles, and forms of leadership behavior
  • Communication as an essential factor in successful leadership
  • How to assume leadership and exert influence within a group
  • How you are perceived by others in your leadership behavior
  • My strength and weaknesses regarding leadership and communication
  • Dealing with interpersonal conflict
  • Feedback for assessing your current position, and development impulse for your own leadership work
  • Develop your own leadership profile

 

METHODS

Combination of impetus-giving lectures, as well as case studies and action learning in small groups with subsequent reflection on the process.
